JBL Quantum Grand Slam 2023 On-Site Guide



It's time to RISE to GLORY as the 2023 JBL Quantum Grand Slam finals are upon us!

If you'll be joining us in person at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for the biggest Australian Rocket League LAN of the year, or any other Rocket League related activities at PAX Australia 2023, we've got all the details and information you need to dive in.

JBL Quantum Grand Slam 2023: Finals


On October 7th, Melbourne will host the years largest Rocket League LAN down under! Doors to the Expo Hall will open and the Pre-Show will begin at 10 am AEDT, with matches beginning at 10:30 am AEDT.


If you didn't get your PAX badge delivered to you make sure to pick up either your 3 Day or Saturday Badge from the Badge Collection Desk outside the Expo Hall during one of these times:


- Wednesday 4th October - 12pm - 5pm

- Thursday 5th October - 10am - 8pm

- Friday 6th October - 8am - 6pm

- Saturday 7th October - 8am - 6pm


We reccomend you pick up your badge on Wed, Thu or Friday so you can get in the Queue Hall and head straight to the stage on Saturday!



Also at the JBL Quantum Grand Slam Stage:


This year JBL Quantum is giving away over $45,000 worth of prizes in the JBL Claw Machines. It’s free to take part and everyone is invited. Plus attendees can take advantage of the show specials with up to 40% off selected JBL Quantum headsets.


Check out the Freeplay area inside PAX Arena to play Rocket League with your friends and rise to glory alongside the competitors. If that wasn't enough grab your favourite Esports Team merchandise at the ESL Store (Available while stocks last).



All the action will be taking place on the PAX Arena stage inside the Expo Hall. Being the largest and only place to watch esports at this years PAX!

Drinks, concessions, and snacks will also be available for purchase right next to the JBL Quantum Grand Slam stage. Your badge will allow you to enter and exit the MCEC at anytime, so don't loose this! For parking, rideshare, and direction information, check out this guide.



Rocket League and Esports at PAX


While the JBL Quantum Grand Slam is on Saturday, there's still more at PAX Australia to look forward to!


The Pulse of Australian Esports:

As competitive gaming continues to captivate the global stage, Australia's unique contributions and challenges will be highlighted in a discussion led by some of the nation's top esports professionals, organisers, and industry analysts. Friday 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM, Dropbear Theatre. -

What's up with (some) esports, and how to "fix" them:

Featuring esports industry insiders, this panel discusses recent and endemic issues in some esports here in Australia and around the world, and offers suggestions as to how esports may further evolve to become even bigger and more sustainable.


Friday 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Dropbear Theatre.

Esports in Education: A New Frontier in Learning:


Join us for an unprecedented exploration into the rapidly emerging domain of Esports within education and at schools across Australia. A diverse assembly of thought leaders, innovators, and educators will gather to dissect the dynamic intersection between competitive gaming and scholastic achievement. Friday 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM, Dropbear Theatre.

From Grassroots to Greatness: Players' Perspectives:

This panel delves into the personal journeys that shape the narratives of players within the industry. Attendees will have a rare opportunity to engage with players, legends, and rising stars, each with unique insights into the world of competitive gaming in Australia.


Friday 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM, Dropbear Theatre.

- Pathways and roles within esports with The Oceanic Women's League: Join the OWL leadership team discuss their roles and what is involved in the day-to-day running of the league. Hear about social media and community management, tournament/event running and partnership development, among other vital tasks! Friday 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM, Galah Theatre.

Woman in Esports Panel:


A panel of incredibly talented women and marginalised gendered people across a range of esports roles talk about their experiences in esports, and share advice to anyone who aspires to enter the esports industry.


Saturday 5:45 PM - 6:45 PM PAX Together Theatre.

PWR Pop-Up:


PWR is back in Melbourne for the PAX Weekend with their Pop-Up event featuring signing's from PWR creators and players, exclusive apparel, 1v1 Station, 24hr Livestream presented by YouTube Gaming and more!


Saturday 9 am - 4 pm, River's Edge Events, Melbourne.

  • If you are 14 years and under, you need to be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian and they need to stay with you the entire time you're at PAX.

  • Food and drinks are available within the venue.

  • Re-entry is allowed.
