The Gauntlet Season 5 Overview
The Gauntlet returns with a points system, as seen in previous seasons, along with an adjusted format.
There will be an opening tournament called The Trials, to determine everyone’s starting position. Once everyone has their place for the first week, the regular season will revolve around the following sequence of tournaments:
The Open - Open to all teams - Each week, 4 teams advance.
The Challengers - 10 teams - Each week, 4 teams are relegated, 1 team advances.
The Gauntlet - 5 teams - Each week, 1 team is relegated.
This cycle will take place between October 28th and December 3rd, with a break week on the 18th and 19th of November.
The Trials - Oct 21 and 22 - 1pm AEDT
The season kicks off with a bang in The Trials, a two-day tournament where Oceanic teams compete to secure their starting positions in the regular Gauntlet season. The stakes are high:
Teams placing 1st to 4th will advance directly to week 1 of The Gauntlet.
Teams placing 5th to 14th will secure their spot in week 1 of The Challengers.
To find these positions, The Trials will feature a full, start-to-finish, double elimination tournament, over two days. Additional matches will be held to determine the 13th and 14th seeds.

The Open - Oct 29, Nov 5, 12, and 26 - Sundays 1pm AEDT The Open is a weekly open tournament where teams battle it out for a shot at competing in The Challengers. Here's how it works:

These teams are accompanied by those relegated from The Challengers.
The top 4 teams will secure their place in The Challengers for the following week.
